The White Queen

History has never looked so good, or so tempting. The beautifully subtle STARZ Original Miniseries Event "The White Queen" may be elaborate in its portrayal of the most controversial era in English history, but it works wildly to imitate some of the success of HBO's other-worldly medieval adventure piece Game Of Thrones. Fans of the Iron Throne need not worry, Queen centers on the women including Elizabeth Woodville and her intentions toward King Edward, and certainly the entirety of England. Which may make it more appealing to a female audience.

But in the midst of a raging war Elizabeth (played by Rebecca Ferguson) has made an unholy pact with Edward (Max Irons) to be his wife, while the game is in motion, and the ultimate prize --the kingdoms of the world lie in wait. When Edward defies his court and announces his marriage to Elizabeth, the reaction is less than what was intended. Faced with her new position of power, she will come face to face with all those who oppose her, who will try to destroy her and, steal the crown from under her. Dramatically evolved with the highest attention to production "The White Queen" will engage with its intrigue and entice with its seductive execution.

The 3-disc Blu-ray set features the entire series in high-definition, and comes packed with "special features" that reveal the secrets to bringing this favorite book to the screen. The production is broken down in detail through several on-set "making of" featurettes including the backstory on the series' real life character histories. Visit the set and see how the costumers put together all of the series incredible looks giving "The White Queen" its distinct look.
