The World's First Ever Smooth Tequila Martini

Megan Smith READ TIME: 2 MIN.

An iconic cocktail, having received innumerable makeovers and reinterpretations, the Martini has been a symbol of refined libation for over a century. This year on National Martini Day (Friday, June 19) Maestro Dobel Diamond Tequila? partners with the luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially to launch an innovative new Martini that even cocktail purists will appreciate.

True to the legacy of the cocktail, the Maestro Martini includes just two ingredients: Maestro Dobel and Cointreau Noir?. Maestro Dobel - the world's first-ever, diamond-clear, aged tequila - uniquely blends Extra-Anejo, Anejo and Reposado tequilas to create a crispness and complexity that compliments the Martini's heritage with the finest sipping tequila.

"As the fastest growing spirits category, it is clear that Americans are developing a taste for the delightful flavors of agave and oak barrel aging that premium tequila brings to the table," said Elwyn Gladstone, head of marketing, Proximo Spirits, Inc. "With the introduction of the Maestro Martini, a new experience is offered to gin- and vodka-based Martini drinkers with a triple threat that only Maestro Dobel can deliver: a clear, crisp and complex taste."

Quintessentially's exclusive membership will be the first to relish in this unique cocktail at Martini Day private events to be held in New York at the W Hotel Member's-Only Rooftop Penthouse, in Los Angeles at Palihouse Holloway and in San Francisco at 15 Romolo.

To create the Maestro Martini: Pour an ounce of Cointreau Noir into a classic Martini glass, swirl and discard. Pour three ounces of Maestro Dobel into a shaker and stir thoroughly with ice. Pour into Martini glass. Garnish with orange twist and rejoice.

Standing alone in the category, Maestro Dobel is a luxurious silver tequila with the complexity of an aged spirit. This exceptional blend of three tequilas brings a refined nuance to the Martini and can be judged, like a diamond, by four C's: clarity, complexity, crispness and craftsmanship.

Ideally balanced, Maestro Dobel boasts a full-bodied palate and velveteen mouth with bold notes of smoked wood and dried fruits. These flavors are carefully balanced by a light nutmeg spiciness and a sweet honey finish.
Maestro Dobel is available at the finest retail and evening establishments, as well as online where legal. Dobel is 40% Alc./Vol. and has a suggested retail price of $74.99.
