Nats Getty – the great-grandchild of the oil magnate and industrialist J. Paul Getty – and his wife, beauty influencer Gigi Gorgeous, have announced their decision to divorce, People Magazine reported.
In a statement, the former couple explained that "they have amicably decided to part ways and officially file for divorce," People quoted.
"While they have decided to end their marriage, they remain friends and have the [utmost] love and respect for each other."
TMZ, also reporting on the split, relayed, "According to court docs... Nats cites the classic 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason" for which they are divorcing.
"The docs list their date of separation as February 27, 2025," TMZ added. "The couple tied the knot in July 2019.
"There are no minor children involved," the outlet went on to note, "but the paperwork notes spousal support will be payable to Gigi in accordance with the terms of their premarital agreement."
Getty and Gorgeous spoke a few years ago about their dream of becoming parents, People recounted. The couple said they hoped IVF would make it possible for them to have children, but Gorgeous, a trans woman, also "said she worried it might not be possible for them to conceive together after having been on hormones since the beginning of her transition," the magazine detailed.
"No one really talked to me about freezing what I had, my DNA for the future children that I wanted to have," Gorgeous said at the time. "I just really wasn't thinking about it."
That changed after she and Getty became a couple, Gorgeous went on to say, telling People that "we were like, 'We ultimately do want kids.'"
While still a couple, Getty and Gorgeous were able to conceive through IVF, though reports indicated that at the time of the divorce filing no children had been born to them.
The two married in 2019, and Getty came out as transgender two years later, in 2021. At that time, Getty said he was nonbinary; however, during Pride Month that same year, he clarified in a social media post, "I stand proudly as a trans man."
"It feels right to finally publicly say my pronouns are he/him," Getty added in the post.
