She Vilifies the Queers, but the GOP's Valentina Gomez Loves the Queer Nightlife
READ TIME: 3 MIN.
Controversial GOP candidate Valentina Gomez was particularly hateful towards the gay community during her recent run for Secretary of State in Missouri. Throughout her failed campaign, the Star-Observer writes, "Gomez gained notoriety for her aggressive rhetoric towards the LGBTQIA+ community who she has frequently called 'faggots' and 'pedophiles.'"
"She notably relentless labelled drag queens as 'pedophiles' accusing them of 'grooming' and urged voters not to be 'weak and gay'. One of her more disturbing stunts included setting LGBTQIA+ books alight with a flamethrower, publicly declaring that she would do the same if elected, calling the materials 'grooming books.'"
But perhaps it is a case of hating the sin and loving the sinner because a tape recently surfaced of Gomez dancing to the performance of one of so-called "pedophiles" at a 2022 New Year's Eve party at which "RuPaul Drag Race" star Aquaria performed.
Gomez's fraught relationship with the LGBTQ+ community continued this past summer when she made a bizarre statement calling for the Olympic Games to implement a "faggot" category. After which, a group of RuPaul superstars lashed back. "If only you had a faggot to properly wax your upper lip and eyebrows. No wonder you are bitter," Season 6 winner and world-renowned drag entertainer Bianca Del Rio replied to the clip," Entertainment Weekly reported. Gomez then shared the clip to her X account on Thursday amid debate over the Paris Olympics boxer Imane Khelif, the Algerian sportswoman previously disqualified from the 2023 world championships after she failed an unspecified test related to gender qualifications. She also used the term, "chicks with dicks" in her tirade.
"GIRL F--- YOU! YOU PICK ME ASS BITCH," Kandy Muse – season 13 alum and All Stars 8 finalist – wrote on X in response to Gomez's video, which also drew ire from All Stars 5 winner and upcoming Marvel's Ironheart star Shea Couleé, who called Gomez "a clown and a loser" on social media, added Entertainment Weekly.
In her response, Gomez through shade at the drag stars on X. "So here's something you'll never be despite all of that makeup and surgeries you do to yourself: a beautiful woman like me," Gomez said, her comments directed at the drag queens in the article. She then said that she was planning to go to California to "catch some pedophiles."
But was Gomez on a "pedophile" hunt on New Year's Eve (12/31/2022) when she was seen partying in the audience of a Black Tie event at NYC's Hudson Yards headlined by another "Drag Race" alum Aquaria? "Heavy bass reverberated from towering speakers as Aquaria, the winner of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' season 10 and the night's headline act, took the stage at 11 p.m.," reported LGBTQ Nation. "The famous drag queen-turned-DJ donned a dark wig and a sequined two-piece outfit. She spun music for the crowd into the early hours of the new year."
And dancing in the crowd was Gomez as evidenced by a recently released video tape obtained by LGBTQ Nation.
She acknowledged the tape's veracity to the news outlet, saying: "You guys call me homophobic and an enemy of the pronoun community, but I was waiting for this video to surface so that I can show your hypocrisy because clearly I was having a great time, and I get along with everybody."
Just not drag queens, if her next statement is to be bel: "I don't care how you identify, shaking your genitals in front of children should land you in prison. Make pedophiles afraid again."
Gomez provided a similar statement to PinkNews. She said: "When I dance at a party it's controversial but when a pedophile shakes their genitals in front of children is considered normal. F****ts are the problem, and you guys don't like it because I call out your pedophilic behavior."
And she added an odd plug to get herself cast on a major dance competition show.
"My hips don't lie, and neither do I. Let 'Dancing With The Stars' know I am the only one who can shock their ratings and Make them Great Again."
