The Critically-Acclaimed 'Oh, Mary!' Is Headed to Broadway

The Off-Broadway play "Oh, Mary!" has been such a hit that it's headed to Broadway in a very special 12-week run this summer.
Written by and starring Cole Escola, whom you might recognize from "At Home with Amy Sedaris," the premise chronicles President Abraham Lincoln's life leading up to his assassination with a twist: Escolar plays Mary Todd Lincoln as a cabaret star yearning for another life.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the show, which has been extended twice at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, will begin previews at the Lyceum Theatre starting June 26, with an opening night scheduled for July 11.
Rounding out the show's cast includes Conrad Ricamora as Abraham Lincoln, James Scully as Mary's Teacher, Bianca Leigh as Mary's Chaperone, and Tony Macht as Mary's Husband's Assistant, with Hannah Solow and Peter Smith.
Behind the scenes of the hit show is costume designer Holly Pierson, lighting designer Cha See. Additionally, with original music by Daniel Kluger, and sound designer Drew Levy.
In an interview with New York Live, star Ricamora called the hilarious show "stupid in the best way."
"It's base on Cole's third-grade knowledge of Abraham Lincoln," said Ricamora, and the audience is along for the ride.
