'Bring Back Manly Men' - Candace Owens Can't Deal with Harry Styles in a Dress

Conservative pundit Candace Owens can't deal with Harry Styles wearing a dress, and jumped on Twitter to express her discomfort.

Styles appears in the current issue of Vogue in a series of haute couture gowns, including on the magazine's cover which makes him the first solo man to do so.

"'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women,' once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play," Styles says in the Vogue interview. "I'll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women's clothes thinking they're amazing. It's like anything–anytime you're putting barriers up in your own life, you're just limiting yourself. There's so much joy to be had in playing with clothes. I've never really thought too much about what it means–it just becomes this extended part of creating something."

Michele, a colleague of Styles who dressed the singer in a frilly, nipple-baring blouse for the 2019 Met Gala, feels that Styles is "really in touch with his feminine side because it's something natural. And he's a big inspiration to a younger generation– about how you can be in a totally free playground when you feel comfortable. I think that he's a revolutionary."

Owens is having none of it. The divisive commentator sees Styles in a dress on the cover of Vogue as another battle in the culture wars, tweeting:

"There is no society that can survive without strong men. The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack.

Bring back manly men."

Other celebrities came to Styles' defense, including Olivia Wilde, who is directing Styles in an upcoming thriller "Don't Worry Darling," his sophomore film role after "Dunkirk."
