Dumb-Ass Lists: EDGE's Favorite National Lazy Day Memes

If you're reading this at work right now, it may be too late for you to properly celebrate.

It's time to take a nap after your break, relax from all of that rest and celebrate with some precious "me" time. August 10 is officially National Lazy Day. And the lesser-known holiday (which is a trending topic on Twitter) has inspired some pretty funny memes on social media.

Not much is known about National Lazy Day. According to Holiday Insights, the creators of the holiday had good intention to document the origins of the day, but probably found themselves caught up in the spirit of the occasion and never got around to it.

Anyone feeling guilty about slacking off today can take heart to know that a recent study found a correlation between laziness and high intelligence. There's also a correlation between laziness and obesity, but why ruin a perfectly good holiday?
