Last year Gilbert, 39, opened up about the engagement on The Talk, saying that it was an elaborate, musical proposal in an L.A. park in front of numerous family and friends. Perry had arranged for a guitarist, and other musicians to play their song (The Cure's "Love Song"), while she wore a series of shirts that read, "Will You Marry Me?"
There are no details about the couple's nuptials yet, but US reports that Gilbert's "The Talk" co-hosts will reveal details of the wedding on the show.
Perry, 48, is widely known for her hit single "What's Up" with the 4 Non Blondes, as well as for her writing credits for Pink ("Get the Party Started"), Christina Aguilera ("Beautiful"), Alicia Keys ("Superwoman") and Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For?"
Gilbert was a child star, starring as Darlene Connor on "Roseanne." She had a minor reoccurring role on "The Big Bang Theory" before getting her gig on "The Talk." She came out publicly in 2010.
