NYPD Seeking Suspect in Gay Bias Attack

NEW YORK - The NYPD has released a sketch of a suspect in a gay bias attack on a New Jersey man on a subway platform.
The attack occurred early Sunday just after J.P. Masterson and his partner Peter Moore celebrated their 10-year anniversary with dinner and a show.
Police say the Clifton, N.J., residents were standing on the West Fourth Street station when the suspect approached them and asked if they were gay.
Police say the couple ignored the man, who then yelled anti-gay slurs before punching Masterson in the face.
Masterson suffered a broken nose and fractured eye socket.
He says he can't believe it happened in Greenwich Village, where he first came out.
Masterson says he was disappointed that no one on the crowded subway platform came to their assistance.
