Latter Day Stupidity: Mormon Granny Says 'Frozen' Promotes the 'Gay Agenda'

An ultra conservative Mormon grandmother blogger has set her sights on Disney's 3D animated film "Frozen," saying this week that the critically acclaimed and commercially successful kid's flick has a "gay agenda to normalize homosexuality," the Huffington Post reports.

In her blog, "A Well-Behaved Mormon Woman," Kathryn Skaggs writes a very long post called "Frozen: Not Gonna 'Let It Go' When Movie Advocates Gay Agenda" about "Frozen," which has grossed $957 million worldwide and $378 million in the U.S. and Canada, admitting that she actually likes the film and has seen it three times with her grandchildren. Nevertheless, she takes issue with the film's apparent gay motives, specifically the movie's Academy Award nominated song "Let It Go."

"I could blatantly see that the homosexual agenda, to normalize the practice, was not simply an underlying message in the movie 'Frozen,' but is the actual story," Skaggs writes. "The process of normalizing homosexual behavior in society is going to require more than the liberal media saying it is so -- which they do all the time -- or activist judges legalizing same-sex marriage in one state after another. It's going to require the indoctrination of our children, in order to lead their generation to the next, necessary, level of mainstream social acceptance."

Skaggs then writes that she's actually not anti-gay and just believes that "acting on same-sex attraction is contrary to God's will."

"I have no problem with those who find the homosexual messaging good, or important for society, from their perspective," she writes. "However, I'm not okay that too many parents, who would not normally support the normalization of homosexual behavior, seem to be completely blind to its advocacy throughout a children's movie, and are in fact gushing over 'Frozen'.'"

She added: "I just don't believe that with full disclosure they would feel to continue. And yet, I also acknowledge the beauty, used in every facet of the movie, which has captivated, or rather frozen audiences, everywhere."

"Frozen," considered by many as one of the best Disney films ever made, is nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. It won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Film.
