Whitney Houston's Daughter Marries 'Adopted Brother'

Bobbi Kristina Brown, 20, daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has married long-time "friend" Nick Gordon at a private ceremony. The relationship has raised some eyebrows as Gordon was adopted by Houston at age 12.

News of the nuptials were unofficially announced by Brown via social media on Thursday when she posted a photo the couple's hands with their wedding rings to her Twitter account. The message read "#HappilyMarried. So #InLove. If you didn't get it the first time that is."

AP reports a representative for the family confirmed the marriage but did not give details on when or where the wedding occurred.

When briefly interviewed on an Atlanta street by a TMZ reporter on Friday, the couple gave few details about the wedding, but mentioned that the marriage received Brown's grandmother Cissy Houston's blessing.

Considered Whitney Houston's "secret son," Gordon moved in with the late singer when he was 12, after his own mother was no longer able to care for him. He was raised along side Bobbi Kristina.

According to a 2012 ABC News report, the Brown/Gordon romance has been brewing for some time with their relationship documented through their Twitter feeds. A 2012 tweet by Brown, presumably about Gordon read "I love sleeping with big brudder (: only person that helps my insomnia B!! Hah (: #teamfamilia!"

Gordon was never legally adopted by Houston and was not left anything in her will. The late singer left her entire estate to Brown, her only biological child.
